Caen Ferry Port
Caen ferry port, also know as Ouistreham ferry port is located 15 kilometres north of Caen centre. The port is an ideal entry point to France and benefits from direct access to the autoroute (motorway) network for quick and easy onward travel.

Getting to Caen (Ouistreham) Ferry Port
By Car
The ferry port terminal is well sign-posted from the main routes around Caen. Follow the “CAR FERRY” signs. The motorway (autoroute) is close to the port and allows for easy access too and from Paris, the Loire, the South, and Brittany. If you're driving from the port, then follow the N175 to Mont St Michel and Brittany. The N13 to Bayeux and Cherbourg, and the N158 leads to Le Mans and the Loire Valley.
By Taxi
Taxis will usually be available and waiting outside of the ferry terminal for arrivals and departures. If none are available, the tourist information desk will be able to call one for you. Fares from the port into the centre of Caen will cost approx 30€ during the day and 40€ from 7pm onwards.
By Train
The nearest train station is in Caen, about 18km from the port. From here you can take a TGV to various destinations including Paris.
By Bus
There is a shuttle service that operates between Ouistreham and Caen, however this service does not operate for the evening ferry arrivals or departures in Ouistreham.
Caen Ferry Port Facilities
Café/ Bar
The bar is open from 6.30am to 11pm. Hot and cold food as well as drinks and snacks are available.
Car Hire
Please note that there is no car rental company in Ouistreham. All major car hire companies are located in Caen next to the train station.
Bureau de Change
A Bureau de Change facility is open for all sailings and at the weekends.
Disabled Facilities
There are 2 disabled parking bays directly outside of the terminal and the single-storey building is wheelchair accessible. Disabled toilets are situated in the car lanes and the second parking area, close to the ferry.
Shuttle Bus
There is a shuttle bus which transports foot passengers between the passenger terminal and the ships for arrivals and departures. Buses either have a ramp or are specifically adapted for wheelchairs

Parking at Caen (Ouistreham) Ferry Port
There is an open car park at the passenger terminal for a maximum stay of 72 hours. There is no charge for parking here but it is at the owner’s risk.
