Stena Line - Pet Booking Information
Note, that to travel with your pet abroad, you will require a pet passport. Please see our guide to travelling with your pet.
You can take your cat or dog on your Stena Line ferries crossing and the booking can be made online. Select the route you want and then select the number of pets you are travelling with.
On sailings across the Irish Sea, your pet can travel in your car free of charge. They are not allowed on the passenger decks on the Dublin - Holyhead, Rosslare to Fishguard or Belfast to Liverpool routes. Small dogs are permitted onboard our Belfast - Cairnryan route if they are secured for the duration of the crossing in a pet traveller case. However, this is at the discretion of Stena Line crew and if requested, passengers may be required to place the animal on the car deck in the dedicated kennel area. If travelling on the Belfast to Liverpool route it is recommended you book a kennel.
On the Rosslare to Cherbourg and Harwich to Hook of Holland crossings, pets can travel in the car or in the on board kennels (where available). You are permitted to visit them during the crossing - subject to weather conditions and staff discretion.
